Saturday January 17th at 2.30. PIPE ORGAN WORKSHOP at All Saints Church, Cheltenham with Ian Fox.
This was an afternoon to encourage people of all ages to become familiar with the mysteries of the instrument.
During the first part of the afternoon Ian showed us how an organ works with a practical demonstration on both the large organ in All Saints and a small chamber organ with a handful of stops and which he opened up to show the workings and the pipes.
After delicious tea and cakes, provided and served by Mike Eddy, one young member played and received some help with repertoire and improvisation.
